2 reasons to avoid dabbling.

Focus means saying NO to most possibilities, so that you can bring your very best to the few opportunities for which you have high expectations. Although it can be helpful to “play” in the beginning, once you have some experience, dabbling can be harmful because 1) it means you are NOT focused -- you continue to try every possibility, and 2) your expectations for any offering or prototype are low. More than anything, focus comes from commitment.
