Your own Declaration.
I love the 4th of July and what it stands for. To me, it’s a group of imperfect men getting together -- you already know the process isn’t going to be perfect, with no women there! --doing three key things at the Second Continental Congress:
1. Writing and editing their best IDEAS into a coherent document.
2. Deciding YES by signing their names, committing to “Mutually Pledge To Each Other Our Lives, Our Fortunes, And Our Sacred Honor.” Wow.
3. Committing to action. They already had the Continental Army in the field, led by General George Washington.
We’re coming into the second half of the year. If your Team is struggling to get your innovative ideas to the marketplace, contact me and let’s get the fireworks going on your innovation processes. In my own life, I’ve had a couple Declarations of Independence, and I went to Philadelphia’s Independence Square to make them. Thank God for our lives, our continuing expansion of freedom and liberty, and our efforts in pursuing the happiness of ourselves, our families, and our neighbor in the broadest sense of the word.
Happy Fourth of July next Monday! Let’s continue to make our nation more free!
